"THE RUNAWAYS" by Floria Sigismondi

As you know Riley is working for her first movie experience nowadays. A film called 'The Runaways'. This is a biopic about the all-girl hard rock band of that name from the 1970’s starring Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie. Riley Keough plays the other Currie sister Marie. I think it is great they remembered to include the Rock royalty, aka Riley Keough, take place in this production! We all know she's very musical and she was born into rock'n'roll  

Who is Cherie Currie? - Cherie Currie (born November 30, 1959) is an American singer, musician and actress. Currie was the lead vocalist of The Runaways, an all-female hard rock, proto-punk band from Los Angeles in the mid-to-late 1970s.

Do you think her character is a main in the movie?

I doubt Marie was a part of the band. I reckon, Riley has a small role here

I read in a biography that Marie was first offered a chanch to be in the band but didn't want to so it was offered to Cherie.

When is it coming out?

At the official The Runaways site it has showed Riley as being rumored to play Marie in The Runaways. I checked the site tonight and it has her officially playing the part of Marie. I can hardly wait to see this movie.

^ Nor can I.. This film will also bring other opportunities for Riley, hopefully. I'm looking forward to seeing her acting.. I think she could be a very good comic actress. I think, even though she is shy, she is a fun loving and funny person. (Priscilla was so good i, so funny in Naked Gun) So, I'd like to think she has the same comic style bearing in mind that she is very much like Priscilla

Elvis was also an actor so it is definitely in her blood

In the new photos, Riley is seen hugging her onstage sister on the set.
I had to look twice closely to make sure if it is indeed Riley. She is very blond here

I can't wait to see this movie. I've always been a fan of Dakota but now it's a real bonus that Riley is in it too.

I would have recognized Dakota but not Riley. They both look fantastic.

found them in yahoo news somewhere, Bailey. Unfortunately in only one of them there is Riley.. But we are not complaining!

Apparently the flick’s shrouded in secrecy, but here’s what we do know: It’s based on Cherie Curie’s book Neon Angels, and Twilight’s Kristen Stewart plays Joan (pics of which have been leaked all over the Net); Dakota Fanning plays Cherie, Elvis’ granddaughter, Riley Keough, plays Curie’s sister Marie; and Revolutionary Road actor Michael Shannon plays Kim Fowley (who was also at the show). The movie, directed by Floria Sigismondi (known for her intriguing music videos), just finished filming and had its wrap party at El Cid last week. We’re excited about this one, to say the least. More info here as we get it.

She's done abit of acting and modeling so that would be awesome for them to work together

I saw the movie Push last night with Dakota Fanning
SUCH A GOOD MOVIE
She is very talented
Everyone should definately go see it!!!

I have to say I didn't really like that film Push. I didn't think it was one of her best ones. I watched The Secret Life of Bees around the same time and I thought that was a good film.
I can't wait to see this new one with her and Riley.

Have you seen any of her older films? I think she is one of the most talented actresses out there. One of the first films I seen of her was "I am Sam". She was only about 7 and she was just fantastic. When I seen her in that film, I knew only good things would await her in the future. I can see her winning an Oscar in the future too.

I agree Grace, she is Oscar-material! lol. I saw her in 'The War of the Worlds' and 'I am Sam' the latter of which is the best I have seen her in..
