Por mas que su apellido lo oculte, la sangre de Elvis Presley corre por sus venas. Riley es la nueva musa de Dior en el centenario de la legendaria firma.

Gran sensacion o descubrimiento de la temporada. Asi han definido a la jovencisima Riley Keough (quince primaveras y a punto de cuplir ya las dieciseis) quienes la han visto desfilar. De momento ella se limita a seguir los consejos de sus ya companeras de backstage, Naomi Campbell y Kate Moss: < Me dijeron que no me lo tomara muy en serio y que disfrutara, y eso es lo que hago>. A pesar de su corta edad, la nieta de Elvis Presley es la nueva imagen de Dior. <Es un sueno hecho realidad. ?Que chica no querria serlo?>, afirma. Y parece que Dior la quiere a ella tanto como ella a Dior: <Dior tiene una actitud que hace que quieras entrar en su mundo. Es cool y joven y tiene nuevas ideas e innovadores disenos. Y siempre saves que sus desfiles seran salvajes. Dior es la vision de John Galliano de lujo: glamouroso, agradable y excitante>. Asi de claro lo tiene la felina Riley, quien afirma que a pesar de haberse sentido atraida desde siempre por este munidllo, fue la moda quien la escogio a ella para ser modelo. Quiza, porque como dicen algunos, ha heredado la belleza de su madre y la actitud de su abuelo.
A la hora de escoger entre las prendas de Dior, se queda con <los cortes de las chaquetas, mi favorita es la vaquera con flores rosas bordadas>. Sus basicos de belleza son <un brillo de labios y un perfume dulce, por lo que Miss Dior Cherie es mi nuevo imprescindible>. Su look diario depende mucho de su humor: <Me gusta llevar vaqueros y camisetas; si me siento crativa me pongo un vestido. Cuando salgo, maquillaje, tacones y un bolso o un sombrero de Dior>.
Futuro es una palabra que no parece preocupar excesivamente a Riley, por el momento. <No se lo que quiero hacer. Quiero viajar mucho y probar tantas cosas como pueda. Disfruto de lo que esta ocurriendo en estos momentos?. Y es que, a pesar del ritmo vertiginoso que parece tener su vida, la nieta de Elvis es una chica de quince anons con gustos y aficiones de... una chica de quince anos: <Los savados, me voy por ahi con mis amigos, quizas de compras. Hago cosas que me relajan, cosas muy normales...!Lo siento, no hay nada que mole!?. Para ella la belleza es similar al sentimiento de <pasear con mi perro por la falda de una montana; como si volviera a la naturaleza>.
Aunque se mueva como pez en el agua por las pasarelas, aun tiene esa especie de fascinacion por las veteranas de la que empieza. Fascinacion dosificada, eso si: <Admiro realmente a Kate Moss y, por supesto, a todas las modelos como ella, Naomi Campbell y Gisele, pero me quiero labrar mi propia carrera y hacer algo que sea unico para mi>. Riley es una chica de quince anos normal y corriente para muchas cosas, pero para otras no deja de ser la hija de Lisa Marie Presley y la nieta de una leyenda que vive la vida que muchas chicas de su edad ni siquiera osarian sonar. Porque, ?que adolescente al ser preguntada por su destino de vacaciones preferido contesta sin pestanear: <Me gusta Hawaii. El spa en el Mauna Lani Resort es mi favorito>?
Pero, como buena jovencita, no se plantea por donde discurrira su carrera a largo plaza en el mundo de la moda. Vive el momento y aun no sabe si le gustaria crear su propia firma: <Me encanta llevar moda y trabajar en ella; hasta ahora eso es suficiente>.
Glamour es algo que no ha faltado en la vida de la pequena Riley. No solo Dior ha caido rendido al encanto de la nieta de Elvis. Antes ya lo hicieron los italianos Dolce & Gabbana: <Cuando conocimos a Riley, quedamos immediatamente fascinados por su belleza y su espiritu fresco y puro>. Aunque la senorita Keough se empene en darselas de <chica normal> diciendo cosas como que su madre es <solo su mama>, pocas jovencitas de su edad pueden presumir de una carrera tan meterorica como la suya. Y es que mientras sus companeras de generacion de preocupan por hacer desaparecer el acne y empiezan a descubrir las armas de seduccion femeninas, Riley desfila en las pasaelas de Milan encaramada a unos tacones de vertigo, convertida en repentino objeto de deseo. Mientras el resto de adolescentes se dedican a decorar sus paredes con los ultimos heroes cinematogrificos de moda, es el rostro de Riley el que adorna las carpetas de mas de un teenager.
Pero esto no quiere decir que el apellido Presley sea garantia de nada. Y si no que se lo pregunten a lisa Marie quien en suu debut discografico tuvo que escuchar comentarios mas que prejuicioso tales como: <Sorprendentemente, el trabajo de la hija de Elvis es de una calidad indiscutible>.
Quiza por eso, la madre de Riley se ha empenado en inculcarle a su pequena que no debia ser la <tipica hija de famosos>, vaya, que no debia militar en las filas de esa tribue de cachorros de celebrities que viven entre fiestas y paginas de papel cuche.
De momento, nuestra protagonista parece mantener la cabeza sobre los hombros, dispuesta a seguir con su carrera de modelo, pero sin dejar por ello de divertirse.

Even though her last name hides it, Elvis Presley’s blood runs through her veins. Riley is the new muse for Dior en the 100th anniversary of the legendary label/firm/brand.

New sensation or discovery of the season. Those were the words said about the very young Riley Keough (15 springs and about to reach the 16th) by those who have seen her on the catwalk/runway. So far, she just limits herself to follow the pieces of advice from her backstage mates, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss: ‘They told me not to take it very seriously and to enjoy it. That’s what I do’. In spice of her young age, Elvis Presley’s granddaughter is the new image for Dior. ‘It’s a dream come true. Which girl wouldn’t want to be Dior’s image?’. And it seems to be that Dior loves her as much as she loves Dior.
‘Dior has this attitude that makes you want to come into its world. It’s cool and young and it has new ideas and innovating designs. And you always know that their catwalks are going to be savage. Dior is the luxurious’ vision of Jhon Galliano: glamourous, nice and exciting.’
This clear is feline Riley ‘s opinion, who afirms that even though she felt lured/attracted by this little world of fashion from the begining, it was fashion who chose her to be a model. Maybe because like some might say, she’s inhereted her mother’s beauty and her grandfather’s attitude.
When it comes to choosing Dior’s clothes, she keeps the ones with ‘the cuts of the jackets, my favourite is the vaquera one with pink flowers’. Her beauty basics are ‘lip gloss and a sweet perfume, that’s why Miss Dior Cherie is my new best friend’. Her every day look depends much on her mood. ‘I like wearing jeans and tshirts. If i feel creative i wear a dress. When i go out, make-up, high-heels and a bag or a Dior hat’
Future is a word that doesn’t seem to worry her much, by now. ‘I don’t know what I want to do. I want to travel a lot and try as many things as I can. I enjoy everything that’s happening this moment.’ Because, even though the fast tempo her life has, Elvis’granddaughter is a 15-year-old girl with likes and hobbies of... a 15-year-old girl. ‘On Saturdays, I just go out with friends, maybe to do some shopping. I do things that relax me, normal stuff...!’ For her, beauty is similiar to the feeling of ‘walking with your dog along the feet of a mountain, like I go back to nature’.
Even though she moves like a fish in the water on the runways, she still has this kind of fascination for the old models, like all young model has. A dosificated fascination, but one thing is for sure ‘I really admire Kate Moss and, of course, all models like her, Naomi and Gisele, but i want to make my own career and do something unique for me’. Riley is a normal and ordinary 15-year-old girl for many things, but for other things, she never stops being Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter and the legend’s granddaughter who lives the kind of life a lot of girls dream of. D&G had already fallen too ‘When we met Riley, we were fascinates by her beauty and her fresh and pure spirit’ No matter how hard Riley tries to show herself as an ordinary girl saying that her mother ‘is just my mother’, few girls of her age can show off such a fast carreer. And it’s because while her generation mates worry about the acne and start learning about seduction games, Riley walks on the catwalks of Milan, on very high heels, turned into an object of dessire. Whie others spend their time decorating the walls of their room with the faces of cinema stars, Riley is the face that decorates the folders of more that one teenager.
But this doesn’t mean that the last name Presley is a guarantee. If you don’t believe us, ask Lisa Marie, who had to hear prejudiced comments about her album such as ‘Surprisingly, Elvi’s daughter’s work has an unquestionable good quality’. Perhaps it’s because of that, that Riley’s mother had worked hard in teacher her daughter not to be the ‘typical daughter of a celebrity’, not to live partying and appearing on the newspapers.
By now, our leading lady seems to have her head firmly on her shoulders, wanting to go on with her model carreer, but not leaving the fun aside.
