ELLE INTERVIEW (translated into English)
John Galliano chose you to be the star of the campaign dedicated to the new “Veste Dior”. How was it when you met him? It was super! John is not only extremely creative but he’s also a real gentleman. He really is very cool! (smiles)
You first walked on the catwalk in February 2004 for D&G, then in October for the Dior ready-to-wear collection. How did you find these experiences? For the first time I was so nervous that backstage I was trembling like a leaf. At the Dior show I already felt a little more comfortable, although in the beginning I was so afraid that I would fall from the podium with my switches heels. There was a crowd of photographers (……..) but I tried to stay calm. However I have a lot of fun walking on the catwalk. And the other models were lovely with me.
Who are your favorite models? Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss […]. On the other hand I have a lot of respect for the less known girls who (…) the castings and the catwalks. It’s a hard job.
How do you manage to reconciliate your studies with your new career as a model? Until now my teachers have been really nice; they allowed me to pass the classes to go defile. We’ll see! Either I go in pension, or I take the classes by correspondence with my fathers help. Anyway I hate school. I only like reading. I’ve just started to read “Da Vinci Code”, Dan Brown’s best-seller I’m fascinated by it.
What do you do when you’re free? When I’m not talking care of my 8 dogs, I go shopping in Los Angeles with my friends. I love it!
Have you found the time to shop in Paris? Of course! I was at Colette where I fell in love with a pair of Mukluk, fur moccasins (She shows them).
What do you first remember about fashion? I was approximately 8 years old when my mom appeared on the cover of the American Vogue. Donatella Versace created a really nice dress for her. That was the moment when I started to get interested in clothes and in designers such as Dior, Missoni, D&G, Roberto Cavalli or Versace.
Are you a salve of fashion? Nor really! I rather have the tendency to always dress simply, most of all in Jeans. However, I adore the vintage and I never leave without my black bag, Marc Jacobs.
Your father says that you eat more than him. Do you pay any attention to your line? Absolutely not! I try to eat healthy, generally salads. And as a beauty trick, I put anti-wrinkle cream around my eyes ever since I was 13 years old.
Do you wanna become a full-time model? Honestly, I don’t know yet. Now this is what I like doing, but I also wanna explore other jobs too.Like cinema for example. For now I take it easy and I take the things like they come, day by day.
