The incarnation of the new Miss Dior Chérie perfume is also the muse of the season. Lisa Marie Presley's daughter and grandchild of the "King", Riley Keough has everything of an aristocrat. A floating grace, a casual look, a queenly bearing...Encounter with the new fashion princess!
5 hours late. Riley is coming running after crossing Paris, from Montaigne Avenue to Mathis Bar, to promote the perfume's compaign of "Miss Dior Chérie". Riley Keough links up with photo sessions. Dressed in Dior, striped socks, platform shoes and blue jean jacket, she introduces herself shyly before rushing on the last Tiramisu of the buffet. She hasn't had the time to eat before.. Riley is only 15. A little delightful woman, in the public eye but protected. Sharp look, mysterious childhood. Elvis is in her. Grandaugther of the "King", she has all of the Presleys. The mouth and the chin of her grandfather Elvis, the blue eyes of her mum Lisa Marie. Nothing of her ex step father Michael Jackson, and it's a good thing. Her father, Danny Keough, isn't there at this moment but he is generally with her when she travels. We've been told...when we interview Riley Keough, we don't talk about Elvis, Lisa Marie, Priscilla, Michael and Nick Cage (the last husband of her mother). You act as if she had no family. OK? It's a deal. She's so cute that we think she'll maybe tell us something about her family? Niet. Nothing. We don't wanna try something she's well protected by her bodyguards. What to say of the little woman who skip school to pose for Nick Knight or to model for Galliano? Her rock 'n roll face, inherited from her ancestors, makes her hit the Dior perfume campaign. Miss Dior Cherie succedes to Miss Dior. When Riley works, her best friend and confident Jadan goes with her everywhere. She sits in the studio and writes notes in her notebook. What is she writing? Maybe one day she'll publish it and everything i wanted to know will be in it. That will be a best seller, for sure!
*L'Officiel--How did you react when Dior asked you to become his muse?
*Riley Keough--A surprise. I didn't expect that at all. I was very flattered and extremely honored.
L'O--How did it happen?
RK--John Galliano contacted my agent at IMG. I was in Japan. I was told by my mother.
L'O--How did you meet John Galliano?
RK--He is great and very nice.
L'O--What do you think of his work?
RK--I love everything he does. He is a genius.
L'O--How do you feel in front of a camera?
RK--I feel at ease, because, John and Nick Knight, the photographer, help me a lot.
L'O--Do you get along with other models?
RK--I don't know them very much and i don't have much opportunity to talk with them, but i really admire Kate Moss. I've met her once.
L'O--Did you dream to become a model when you were younger?
RK--Like other girls, no?
L'O--Do you take this job seriously?
RK--It's at the same time a game and a real job.
L'O--Where do you live?
RK--In Los Angeles.
L'O--what about school?
RK--I've been learning at home since a long time. That gives me the possibility to evade sometimes.
L'O--Would you like to become an actress?
RK--Maybe in the future but not right now.
L'O--Do you like Paris?
RK--I love this town. I've been here 3 times for Dior.
L'O--What's your favorite area ?
RK--I like Saint-Germain-des Près, and my favorite restaurant is L'Avenue.
L'O--What do you do with your friends?
RK--I go shopping. But i don't go out alot. In Paris, we went to only one restaurant for dinner and we went to a party in our hotel..
L'O--What are your hobbies?
RK--I've been playing piano for 5 years.
L'O--Which popstars do you like??
RK--The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and the Beatles.
L'O--Your favorite movies?
RK--"Moulin Rouge", I like Nicole Kidman. "Romeo et Juliette" and "Gangs of New York" because of Leonardo DiCaprio (laughs).
L'O--Tonight you're going to a party, how much time do you need to get ready?
RK--About 20 minutes.
L'O--How do you dress the day ,the evening?
RK--Dior Dior Dior! No, it depends on my humor. If i'm lazy i wear jeans and t-shirt and if i feel creative i dress sexier.
L'O--Can you describe your wardrobe?
RK--I have a little one, sometimes tidy, but most of the time messy, it is full of shoes, handbags and jackets.
